I worked for Hampshire County Council's Primary Behaviour Service for 20 years prior to setting up Relationships Matter. During that time I worked in 5 out of 6 of the areas of the County and managed 4 of them.
I am a qualified teacher and do not consider myself to be an expert but I do have extensive experience working in different schools with the children - age 5 - 18, their teachers and LSA's and often parents as well as providing support and advice for Head Teachers and SLT for children who are exhibiting difficulties with self regulation and showing dysregulated behaviour.
I have developed and delivered training to schools around de-escalation, self regulation, language and its effect on our children, creating good relationships both with the children and their parents and can form trusting relationships quickly.
I have supported many many staff and new and old Head Teachers over the years both emotionally and practically with their dysregulated children and their own emotions and feelings around them.
I am a qualified Thrive Practitioner and Trainer and love the understanding this helps to develop around brain neuroscience and relationships.
I am able to form good relationships quickly, am empathetic, patient, understanding and positive and am looking forward to this new part of my life journey.
I have also written a book - Relationships - the key to understanding children's behaviour.
